This gathering started in the afternoon at Yankee Stadium, where the opponents were the Baltimore Orioles that day. The Yankees were trailing as much as 7-2 in the game until Alex Rodriguez (who just recently hit his 500th home run) hit a grand slam with 2 strikes against him with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth to win the game 10-7.
After the game, there was talk about visiting the Empire State Building, but by the time those who wanted to continue the gathering headed there, there was already a two hour wait, so that was skipped and it continued at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.
And a big 'Thank You' again to Kerryann the Warrior Princess for organizing this gathering!
